About The Position

The MSPCA-Angell is looking for an experienced manager at our Cape location in Centerville. This role is crucial for leading the Cape Adoption Center, supporting staff and volunteers, engaging with the community, and ensuring the well-being and care of every animal. Requirements

2 years of management or supervisory experience (non-profit preferred)
2 years of experience working in animal sheltering, veterinary services, or comparable social services fields
Bachelor's degree
Compassionate, people-centered leader who believes deeply in helping animals and their families
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Commitment to maintaining a positive, supportive culture

Responsibilities

Guide and support staff and volunteers.
Collaborate with behavior and medical teams to improve animal quality of life and reduce length of stay.
Create positive experiences for adopters, surrenderers, and visitors.
Lead group discussions, trainings, scheduling, performance development, and foster team culture.
Manage daily adoption center shelter operations, including animal intake, care, adoption, and euthanasia.
Work with the volunteer and foster care coordinator to foster a positive and supportive culture for volunteer inclusion, development, and integration.
Provide euthanasia counseling with a focus on respectful and compassionate care.
Model kindness and professionalism.
