About The Position

Auto Systems Centers, the world's largest Midas franchisee and now part of the Mavis Tire family, is seeking full-time Assistant & Service Managers for their state-of-the-art service, repair, and tire center in Syracuse, NY. The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in ensuring efficient, safe, and effective store operations. This includes enforcing policies, scheduling technicians, managing outside orders, ensuring job quality and timeliness, meeting customer expectations, and maintaining team safety. The Service Manager assists customers with tire selections and recommends under-car repair services. They ensure customer satisfaction through timely, high-quality repairs and maintenance by directing the workflow of mechanics and technicians. Service Managers also drive sales initiatives, communicate with customers about needs and repairs, ensure customer satisfaction with their in-store experience, and strive to meet customer expectations.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience/training in automotive parts and/or tire sales, or a relevant combination of education, training and experience.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift/move items weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Value dependability, teamwork, and providing quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager to ensure each Midas retail location operates efficiently, safely and effectively.
  • Enforce established policies, procedures and standards.
  • Schedule mechanics/technicians work.
  • Manage outside orders.
  • Ensure the quality and timely completion of jobs.
  • Meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure the safety of team members.
  • Assist customers with tire selections and recommend necessary under-car repair services.
  • Ensure complete customer satisfaction by delivering timely completion of high-quality vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Direct the workflow of Mechanics, Alignment Technicians and Tire Technicians and stage vehicle repair/maintenance work.
  • Drive the sales initiatives of Midas.
  • Communicate directly with customers, assess customer needs, provide information regarding requested and/or necessary automotive repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure customers are satisfied with their in-store experience and strive to meet customer expectations.
