About The Position

The Assistant Security Manager, Emergency Services, works closely with the Director of Security and helps develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive disaster, safety, and security plans for our large-scale campus. They work closely with the Senior Manager of Event Security to ensure seamless Emergency Management (EM) preparedness for event operations. This position ensures the effective implementation of EM protocols and serves as a key liaison with law enforcement, fire departments, and venue security to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across our campus.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or a related field required; equivalent certifications and experience may be considered.
  • National Incident Management System (NIMS) certified with experience applying standardized response and coordination practices.
  • Must be able to pass an Initial and Annual Background and Motor Vehicle Records check.
  • CPR, First Aid, and De-escalation Certification required, or willing to be trained within 120 days of hire.
  • Experience with EM protocols, exercises, and crowd control.
  • One to three years of experience in an emergency management-related field.
  • Proven leadership experience leading teams, influencing stakeholders, and delivering results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze current situations and implement recommended solutions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and other department personnel and management.
  • Ability to manage, coach, and effectively supervise others.
  • Solid ability to work well under pressure.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably experience in a uniformed contract security company, military, or law enforcement.
  • Knowledge of commonly used security processes and procedures.
