The Assistant Scientist II is a specialized research scientist with an advanced degree (PhD and/or MD) and demonstrated expertise in aging research, including the development and validation of biomarkers of aging, management of large clinical and research databases, and the application of artificial intelligence in aging research. The individual will serve as a member of the Musculoskeletal Research Center at the Marcus Institute, but will work frequently across centers and programs. He/She will be expected to develop an independent research program through the successful acquisition of competitive research funding from the National Institute on Health (NIH), foundations, the biotech industry, and other funding organizations. The candidate will lead and effectively manage ongoing research projects, present research findings at scientific meetings, and publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals to advance the research in aging and age-related conditions.
