About The Position

Children of America (COA) is seeking an Assistant School Director responsible for carrying out daily management tasks, including leading a staff of educators and executing educational programming for all programs, from Infant care through School Age. The Assistant School Director will work directly under a School Director, supporting them in leading teachers and staff in a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and sharing a passion for early childhood education. COA's culture values unique attributes, perspectives, and backgrounds to strengthen the team. The program serves preschool children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, with offerings including Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before and After Care, and Summer Camp. This position involves daily interaction with parents, the School Director, teaching and support staff, assigned operations personnel, facilities, custodial teams, and a regional support team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field related to children or business
  • 1 year of management experience
  • Advanced knowledge in early childhood education
  • Flexible in challenging situations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to build strong relationships.
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Effective decision maker
  • Proficient in the use of technology, including industry applications, MS Office 365; Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Must meet state requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability and willingness to drive and/or travel up to 10% of the time for training, professional development, and organizational meetings.
