About The Position
Foothills Child Development is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support the School Age group. The role involves assisting the lead teacher with classroom activities, fostering child development, maintaining a safe environment, and building rapport with families. The position requires a positive attitude and a love for working with children in a fun and professional environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma OR GED
- Ability to pass all background checks
- Must be 18 years of age

Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
- Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
- Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
- Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
- Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
