Assistant Salon Manager - Licensed Cosmetologist
About The Position
SmartStyle Salon, conveniently located inside Walmart, is a premier salon offering high-quality hair services. Our team of passionate and talented professional hairstylists is dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences to our clients. As a Hair Stylist Assistant Manager, you will provide exceptional leadership, guest service, understand your guest’s needs, provide quality consultations and perform services requested in an efficient and professional manner. This role offers opportunities to lead, assist, and change people’s lives through hair services, including haircuts, color, highlights, waxing, and specialty services, utilizing proprietary tools and techniques.
Requirements
- Current cosmetology or barber license as required by State regulations.
- Willingness to lead and assist a salon manager.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Tech savvy.
- Ability to perform administrative tasks.
- Ability to read, write, and do basic math.
- Good eyesight for observing a guest’s hair, including close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
- Comfortable with fragrances and chemicals used in treatments.
- Comfortable with standing, lifting, and reaching.
- Comfortable with lifting, bending, and performing repetitive movements, occasionally lifting 10-25 lbs.

Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional leadership and guest service.
- Understand guest needs and provide quality consultations.
- Perform services requested in an efficient and professional manner.
- Assist the salon manager.
- Perform administrative tasks, including closing out the system at the end of the day.
- Stand, lift, and reach.
- Perform repetitive movements.
- Lift, bend, and perform repetitive movements, occasionally lifting 10-25 lbs.
