About The Position

FS Cut & Color is looking for a strong salon leader who loves doing hair, building a team, serving guests, and helping a salon grow. This is a great opportunity for a licensed cosmetologist who wants more than just a chair. We are looking for someone who can lead by example behind the chair while also helping create a positive, professional, guest-focused salon culture. For the right person, this role may also offer a future path toward increased leadership, profit-sharing, or ownership opportunities. Our Salon Manager / Lead Stylist helps drive the success of the salon by delivering excellent guest service, coaching the team, supporting daily operations, and helping the salon reach its goals. This is a working manager role. You will spend a large portion of your time serving guests behind the chair while also helping lead the team, maintain standards, and support the business. We are looking for someone who is dependable, upbeat, solution-oriented, and ready to help build something strong.

Requirements

  • Current Texas cosmetology license
  • Strong haircutting, color, styling, and consultation skills
  • Guest-focused mindset and strong communication skills
  • Positive, professional, team-centered attitude
  • Ability to coach, encourage, and hold standards
  • Confidence handling guest concerns and team challenges
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced salon environment
  • Flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Salon leadership or management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of salon operations, retail sales, and TDLR sanitation standards preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent haircuts, color, styling, and salon services
  • Lead by example with professionalism, positivity, and strong guest service
  • Help create a welcoming experience for every guest
  • Coach and support stylists in technical skills, guest communication, productivity, retail, and rebooking
  • Help train the team on salon systems, service standards, and guest experience expectations
  • Handle guest concerns with professionalism and a solution-focused mindset
  • Support hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and team development
  • Help manage daily salon flow, scheduling needs, cleanliness, and organization
  • Monitor salon goals such as guest count, service sales, average ticket, retail sales, retention, and productivity
  • Help maintain inventory, supplies, sanitation standards, and salon presentation
  • Support marketing efforts such as social media, community outreach, and local partnerships
  • Communicate regularly with ownership about team needs, salon performance, and growth opportunities
