The Assistant Sales Manager will support the Sr. Sales Manager by cultivating a high-performance sales culture and providing direction to achieve revenue targets. Requirements

  • Experience leading sales agents, particularly in a 1099 sales environment.
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication skills across all channels (written, email, phone).
  • Self-starter who can take initiative, manage day-to-day tasks, and adapt quickly to evolving priorities.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Skilled in completing call reviews, conducting 1:1s, and pulling reports to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of sales operations within the health insurance industry, including U65 products and market trends.
  • Collaborative mindset.
  • Tech-savvy, proficient in tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and sales-related software.
  • Committed to compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Results-driven professional who strives to exceed expectations while fostering a supportive, high-performing team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in mentoring and supporting the Sales Agent Department to achieve individual and team revenue goals.
  • Providing day-to-day guidance to U65 Team Captains and collaborating with Medicare and ACA Managers to support sales performance.
  • Encouraging a positive and collaborative team environment focused on customer satisfaction and excellence.
  • Monitoring attendance reports and supporting strategies to improve attendance across the team.
  • Assisting with training updates and professional development programs, including scheduling agent shadowing.
  • Tracking KPIs, reporting performance trends, and supporting teams in meeting or exceeding performance goals.
  • Helping identify performance improvement opportunities and assisting in implementing corrective actions.
  • Managing spiff tracking for agents and ensuring timely reporting.
  • Facilitating communication with vendors for feedback and transparency.
  • Assisting in the schooling and licensing process for new Sales Agents.
  • Supporting call reviews, resolving issues, and addressing agent concerns.
  • Aiding in developing captains to better manage and understand their teams.
  • Assisting with call routing and managing agent priorities.
  • Promoting a positive work culture in both remote and in-office settings.
  • Supporting onboarding new agents, monitoring performance, assisting with monetary fines, documenting company violations, and recommending terminations when necessary.
  • Supporting the Sr. Sales Manager with any ad hoc projects and/or day to day tasks.
