European Wax CenterMountain View, CA

About The Position

European Wax Center is the nation's leading expert in body waxing, and our Mountain View center is hiring a full-time Assistant Salon Manager to help run day-to-day operations. This role involves managing operations, inventory, scheduling, and ensuring a positive guest experience. No waxing or esthetics experience is required; if you have experience running a retail store, salon, spa, or restaurant floor and are skilled in inventory, scheduling, and organization, you can succeed in this position. The company provides paid training and a clear path for career advancement into a Center Manager role.

Requirements

  • 1+ years as an assistant manager, shift supervisor, key holder, or team lead — retail, salon, spa, or hospitality all count.
  • Strong organizational skills; you track details and follow through.
  • Comfortable with computers, POS systems, scheduling software, Excel, and email.
  • Full-time availability, 40 hours/week, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Growth mindset — you want to learn the business, not just work a shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Zenoti, Mindbody, Booker, or When To Work experience a plus.
  • Experience with inventory management and staff scheduling strongly preferred.
  • Confident communicator with guests and coworkers.

Responsibilities

  • Own inventory: weekly counts, retail and back-bar stock levels, reorder timing, and monthly reconciliation.
  • Keep the stockroom organized, labeled, and stocked.
  • Maintain retail merchandising and displays to brand standards, refreshed with each monthly promotion.
  • Set up the center monthly with correct signage, promotional materials, and front desk collateral.
  • Handle opening and closing procedures, cash handling, register reconciliation, and weekly bank deposits.
  • Build and publish weekly staff schedules; manage breaks, lunches, booking blocks, and room assignments.
  • Manage availability changes, time-off requests, and shift coverage.
  • Audit time punches and prepare accurate timecards for bi-weekly payroll.
  • Review daily sales reports for accuracy — correct checkout errors, open invoices, and duplicate transactions.
  • Follow up with guests on failed payment plans and outstanding balances.
  • Work the front desk with the team — check guests in and out, book appointments, sell memberships and retail, and hit your own sales goals.
  • Track new guest profiles and follow up after first visits to confirm satisfaction.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training for Guest Service Associates.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally; respond to inquiries within 24–48 hours.
  • Plan team birthday and work anniversary celebrations.
