About The Position

The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for the overall operation, coordination, appearance, and maintenance of dining rooms, banquet rooms, bar, and service stations. This role involves training, coaching, and counseling service staff to provide outstanding service to members. The manager must be team-oriented and communicate effectively with the kitchen and other departments. Additionally, the assistant restaurant manager is responsible for all operational details of setup, supervision, and cleanup for catering and special events, including meeting with clients to verify event details and following up with appropriate personnel. They will assist in implementing, maintaining, and updating new systems and may work in various positions such as manager on duty, captain, server, host, bartender, or expediter.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years fine dining restaurant, catering, and supervising experience required.
  • Working knowledge of banquets and bars.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Microsoft excel and word and be able to program.
  • Excellent people management skills including resolving conflict, coaching, developing others, promoting teamwork, problem solving and performance management.
  • Must possess strong professional communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • All applicants must complete and pass a Level II Background Check and Drug Screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Formalized hospitality education and/or training preferred.
  • This individual will need to be empathetic, energetic and have an affinity for working with senior population.

Responsibilities
