About The Position

This position is responsible for assisting individuals with activities of daily living and sharing in the development, implementation and evaluation process for overall residential operation. Devereux Pocono provides programs and services for adults with developmental disabilities. Located in Newfoundland, PA with group homes across four counties.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, management and/or related health degree OR high school diploma or GED with at least three years experience in a residential treatment setting required.
• Minimum of two years experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• At least 6 months of supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Pre-employment physical required.
• Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending & standing required.
• Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat.
• Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes.
• Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc.
• Good manual dexterity.
