About The Position

Bethany Community Services is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Assistant Resident Care Director to help lead and support resident care services within our Assisted Living and Independent Living communities. This role is ideal for a nurse who values dignity, independence, and community, and who wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults. The Assistant Resident Care Director partners closely with the Resident Care Director to uphold our mission through thoughtful leadership and hands-on support. This role helps ensure high-quality, consistent care across Assisted Living and Independent Living by supporting assessments, care planning, staff coordination, training, regulatory compliance, and family communication. The ARCD plays a vital role in fostering a culture of compassion, teamwork, and accountability.

Requirements

  • Licensed RN or LPN in Massachusetts (required)
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in senior living, assisted living, or home health
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally between properties

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support daily resident care operations in Assisted Living (33 units) and Independent Living
  • Assist with resident assessments, reassessments, individualized care planning, and documentation
  • Help coordinate staffing schedules and provide supportive oversight to Resident Care Aides and nurses
  • Participate in welcoming new residents and supporting smooth transitions between levels of care
  • Serve as a resource for residents, families, and team members, promoting trust and open communication
  • Contribute to staff training, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance (651 CMR 12.00)
  • Participate in the nursing on-call rotation as assigned
