About The Position

Spring Arbor Leesburg is seeking an Assistant Resident Care Director (ARCD) / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join their team. This role involves building relationships with residents, supporting the care team, and ensuring smooth daily operations within a community of 71 assisted living beds and 20 memory care beds. The ideal candidate is a nursing leader with Med Tech and scheduling experience, passionate about providing excellent resident care and supporting team members. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional weekends and participation in the Manager on Duty weekend rotation. This position offers an opportunity to make a significant difference through leadership and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • RN/LPN or higher required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age; state-specific requirements may apply.
  • Must have a satisfactory criminal background screening and meet applicable health, tuberculosis, and drug-free workplace requirements.
  • If assigned driving responsibilities, must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with Company standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or training in a senior living, assisted living, healthcare, or resident care setting preferred.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience in a similar work environment preferred.
  • General understanding of and concern for the needs of seniors, including residents with Alzheimer’s disease or memory impairment.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with residents, families, coworkers, providers, and leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic health records, CRM systems, and other job-related technology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with resident assessments, care planning, admissions, orientation, clinical documentation, and required screenings.
  • Audit Medication Administration Records, electronic health records, medication carts, and related resident care documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with processing and documenting physician orders and coordinating services with families, providers, physicians, pharmacies, and community team members.
  • Support safe resident care by assisting with activities of daily living, medication-related processes, treatments, emergency call response, and resident rights compliance.
  • Assist the Executive Director and Resident Care Director with maintaining compliance with applicable state regulations and Allegro Living policies and procedures.
  • Provide direction and support to Resident Assistants and Medication Technicians, including assistance with recruiting, interviewing, orientation, training, scheduling, and performance support.
  • Participate in care plan meetings, ROSE program meetings, required training, Manager on Duty responsibilities, and the on-call rotation, as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, families, visitors, vendors, coworkers, and leadership while maintaining confidentiality and a service-oriented approach.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and assist coworkers as needed.
