About The Position

The Assistant Residence Manager supports the Residence Manager in supervising staff, overseeing clinical and residential services, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents. This role assists with staff training, crisis intervention oversight, quality assurance, and coordination with clinical teams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3 years of experience providing direct services to people with IDD, including supervisory experience.
  • AMAP, SCIP-R, CPR/First Aid required.
  • Clean, valid NYS Driver’s License.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s in Human Services may substitute for up to 2 years of general experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in providing clinical services based on treatment plans developed by the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (ITT).
  • Provide clinical oversight of treatment plan implementation and assign staff responsibilities.
  • Observe delivery of services, evaluate progress, recommend modifications, and review staff interventions.
  • Ensure staff collect necessary medical, psychological, and social information for service planning.
  • Review case records for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Inform staff on available clinical services, community resources, and recreational activities.
  • Review crisis interventions and ensure staff follow appropriate protocols.
  • Ensure timely reporting of serious incidents, allegations of abuse, or sensitive situations.
  • Assist in supervising personnel, creating schedules, managing time clock edits, and evaluating staff performance.
  • Ensure staff attend required trainings and provide on-site instruction as needed.
  • Support employee morale, address harassment concerns, and facilitate staff meetings.
  • Oversee administrative recordkeeping, equipment maintenance, office supply management, and visitor reception.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and maintain a clean, safe residential environment.
  • Initiate repair requests and conduct safety drills and inspections.
  • Maintain accountability for ICL property, including vehicles, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist with quality assurance processes and preparation for regulatory audits.
  • Promote resident and family involvement in treatment and residence activities.
  • Support positive community relations and collaboration with community organizations.
  • Perform additional tasks including facility maintenance coordination and other duties as assigned.
