About The Position

Ivy Tech Evansville seeks an Assistant Registrar to manage the essential registration function and administer the creation and maintenance of student permanent academic and administrative records. this role assures the integrity, security, condition and access to these records and supervises the issuance of official documents under the general direction of the Registrar.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and three years of relevant experience
  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable with computer technology
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with the public and other employees
  • Ability to work independently and exercise responsible judgment
  • Must be customer-oriented, a self-starter, well organized and able to work independently

Responsibilities

  • Assist Registrar with enforcing policies and procedures related to records, registration, and academic compliance
  • Assist Registrar with student processes pertaining to graduation including but not limited to: creating and updating database of potential graduates updating student information on the BANNER System as graduation applications are submitted responds and track graduation applications
  • Schedule work hours and supervise work-study students who report to the Office of the Registrar.
  • Process records and oversee transfer credit evaluations as needed
  • Oversee document imaging processes
  • Assists the Registrar in end of term processes
  • Processes Office of Registrar forms
  • Responds to phone and in-person inquiries from students, parents and the general public
  • Process requests for academic transcripts
  • Assists in preparing various reports.
  • Serve as a back up to the Registrar
  • Serve on the graduation committee
  • Attend meetings as required
