Requirements

  • Equivalent post-secondary diploma/degree combined with minimum 1-3 years related work experience preferably in sourcing/manufacturing/raw materials/ wholesale or garment manufacturing
  • Basic knowledge of fabric constructions, dye techniques, finishes, and manufacturing process.
  • Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent and effective communication skills, both oral and written English
  • Organized and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Well versed with Microsoft office applications

  • Knowledge of PLM an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support raw material source and development activities in line with strategy
  • Track daily progress of fabric sourcing and development
  • Maintain accurate data, documentation, and sample tracking
  • Follow up with mills/vendors to ensure timelines are met.
  • Escalate risks or delays to Assistant Manager
  • Deliver execution support to activities as requested by superior
  • Work with mills and vendors to arrange required material qualities and samples for timely submissions
  • Support cost validation activities, including cost quote entries into PLM
  • Maintain supplier records and documentation (material forms, R&D trackers, etc.) diligently
  • Track basic development status and follow up on sample/delivery timelines
  • Provide input data support for supplier performance and development tracking
  • Escalate issues to Assistant Manager when needed
  • Maintain physical library organization for approved and developmental fabrics (filing, labeling, storage).
  • Create and update core and seasonal approved quality binders for office and offshore teams
  • Support team in locating appropriate materials from the library
  • Update material data in PLM and ensure basic data accuracy
