About The Position
PURE HomeRiver is seeking an Assistant Property Manager in Santa Rosa, California. The role supports tenants and property owners with a service-minded approach, helping ensure tenants feel heard and valued. The Assistant Property Manager handles tenant communications, coordinates move-ins and move-outs, tracks maintenance requests, prepares leases, and keeps records and deadlines current. The position also supports the Property Manager with lease renewals, rent collection communication, prospective resident inquiries, and security deposit dispositions.

Responsibilities
- Conduct business in accordance with company policies and procedures and applicable housing, disability, credit reporting, and other local, state, and federal laws.
- Serve as the primary contact for tenant communication.
- Maintain maintenance-request records in property management software and ensure work orders are completed within a reasonable time and estimated costs.
- Assist the Property Manager with lease renewals.
- Travel to properties as scheduled to prepare and coordinate move-in and move-out processes with tenants.
- Prepare notices and routine correspondence as directed by the Property Manager.
- Respond to prospective residents interested in available properties, follow up with them, and travel to meet them and review properties.
- Communicate with residents throughout the rent collection process.
- Assist with preparing security deposit dispositions in accordance with state laws and company policies.
- Prepare leases and confirm required addendums and attachments are included before presenting leases to tenants for signature.
- Document property and tenant information in property management software.
- Maintain communications in property management software so current information is available to team members.
