About The Position

Weinstein Properties, a family-owned company with over 70 years of experience, is seeking an Assistant Property Manager for their apartment communities in the Henrico, West End, and Goochland areas. The company owns and manages over 60 apartment communities across multiple states and emphasizes a hands-on approach to operations and customer experience. This role involves front-line resident services, team interaction, rapid learning, and effective communication in challenging situations. While previous property management experience is a plus, strong management experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality is also valued, as comprehensive training and professional development are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Work with prospects interested in learning more about the communities.
  • Respond to internet leads, phone calls, schedule appointments, and conduct community tours.
  • Process leasing applications, prepare lease paperwork, collect security deposits, and finalize leases.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, assisting with needs such as lease renewals, notices to vacate, early terminations, adding pets, apartment transfers, and account inquiries.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff, inspect ready apartments, monitor property needs, and follow up with residents on work orders.
  • Ensure a positive resident move-in experience.
  • Manage resident move-outs, process move-out procedures, and handle security deposit dispositions.
  • Post rent payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Plan, prepare, and host resident activities.
  • Assist in leading the team, supporting training, and achieving goals.
  • Support the Property Manager as needed.
