About The Position

The successful Assistant Property Manager will work with the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of the property. Strong understanding of HUD and Tax Credit experience is essential. You'll provide customer service to residents and visitors, complete annual inspections & recertifications, and help residents with move in paperwork. You will take the initiative and provide direction to staff when Property Manager is away. You will work with the Front Desk and Maintenance site teams and coordinate resident engagement and events. This is an on-site position. Jefferson Court Apartments provides stable safe housing for 222 Seniors in Milwaukee, WI.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Adhere to complex regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain resident account receivable ledgers under supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of administrative, office, accounting, or customer service experience.
  • Property management work experience and knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws.
  • Knowledge of real estate property management applications.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Property Manager in the day-to-day operations of the property.
  • Provide customer service to residents and visitors.
  • Complete annual inspections & recertifications.
  • Help residents with move in paperwork.
  • Take the initiative and provide direction to staff when Property Manager is away.
  • Work with the Front Desk and Maintenance site teams.
  • Coordinate resident engagement and events.
  • Enter data in resident accounts receivable ledgers.
  • Assist with resident records documentation.
  • Collect rent and other income, make bank deposits, and forward receipts.
  • Assist with the leasing process from initial application to move-in.
  • Respond to customer services requests.
  • May work outside normal business hours to respond to the needs of the property.
  • Other duties as assigned.
