About The Position

Join an established commercial real estate team as an Assistant Property Manager, supporting an assigned portfolio and playing an important role in tenant relations, property operations, lease administration, and financial reporting. Our client is an established commercial real estate organization focused on professionally managing and operating its property portfolio. The team works collaboratively across Property Management, Accounting, and Engineering to provide responsive service to tenants and ensure properties operate efficiently. Reporting to the Property Manager, the Assistant Property Manager will provide administrative, operational and lease administration support across an assigned commercial portfolio comprising five class A office buildings. You will serve as a key point of contact for tenants, vendors, and contractors, responding to inquiries, coordinating service requests, preparing tenant communications and assisting with move-ins, move-outs and tenant requirements. You will also support lease administration, including reviewing lease abstracts, interpreting lease provisions and ensuring obligations are properly administered. The role has a strong financial component. You will assist with CAM reconciliations, operating expense recoveries, tenant billings, rent collection, invoices, budgeting and monthly financial reporting. You will maintain accurate tenant, lease and vendor records and support the preparation of property reports and variance explanations. You will also coordinate vendor services, assist with property inspections and corrective actions, and monitor work orders. This position offers variety across day-to-day property operations as well as special projects and tenant initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least three years of commercial property management experience.
  • Knowledge of lease administration, CAM reconciliations, operating expenses, recoveries, budgeting, and contracts.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Comfortable working with budgets, invoices and financial reports.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Professional communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and collaboratively with Property Management, Accounting, Engineering, tenants and vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Yardi Voyager and Microsoft Excel is preferred.
  • An associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
  • Equivalent commercial or residential property management experience will be considered.
