About The Position

Article Student Living is seeking a full-time Assistant Property Manager to lead the operational success of its student living community. The role is responsible for financial activities, managing the onsite accounting software system, and resident relations. The Assistant Property Manager serves as backup to the Property Manager when they are absent and provides overall support to help ensure the property's success. The position reports to the Property Manager. The pay range is $60,000–$64,000, plus an annual bonus.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in property operations or leasing in the student housing or residential property management industry.
Experience with financials and budgets.
Excellent project management skills.

Bachelor's degree preferred, or comparable experience in the student housing space.

Responsibilities

Complete accounting and bookkeeping tasks according to the annual accounting calendar and oversee billing for residential and commercial accounts.
Help prepare financial reports, budgets, revenue projections, and variance analysis.
Ensure Winter, Spring, and Summer break unit inspections are documented and billed.
Create notices to residents for lease violations and fines.
Partner with the Property Manager in leading the turnover process.
Assist with Property Manager payroll activities, including generating timesheets and leasing commissions, ensuring tax forms and related payroll documents comply, and assisting with employee scheduling.
Manage the onsite accounting software system and resident relations.
Serve as backup to the Property Manager in their absence and provide overall property support.
