About The Position

HH Red Stone is a growing property management company specializing in student housing and multifamily communities across the United States. Our onsite teams deliver exceptional resident service, maintain welcoming communities, and work together to achieve strong property performance. We are seeking an organized, service-focused Assistant Property Manager to join our Ithaca team. This is an opportunity for someone with leasing or property management experience who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, and supporting successful community operations.

Requirements

  • At least one year of apartment leasing or property management experience preferred.
  • Experience with rent collection, resident accounts, or property financial administration strongly preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy onsite environment.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning property management software.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Availability to work scheduled weekends and provide additional coverage during peak leasing and turnover periods.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily community operations and provide manager coverage as assigned.
  • Support leasing goals through prospect follow-up, property tours, application processing, lease preparation, and renewals.
  • Maintain accurate resident records, lease files, and documentation in the property management system.
  • Process payments, review resident account balances, and follow up on delinquent accounts under company procedures.
  • Assist with collection notices and coordinate documentation for further action under management direction.
  • Support invoice processing, financial reporting, and other administrative tasks.
  • Respond professionally to resident questions, concerns, and service requests; document issues and follow through on resolution.
  • Coordinate with maintenance on work orders, apartment readiness, inspections, and move-ins and move-outs.
  • Assist with student housing turnover planning and execution.
  • Support marketing, resident events, outreach, and renewal efforts.
  • Follow Fair Housing requirements, applicable laws, and company policies.
  • Help maintain an organized leasing office and a welcoming community environment.
