Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent Job Description: As an Assistant Project Manager (APM) at Five Star Electric, reporting to the Project Executive, you will have the opportunity to: Project Coordination & Administration Assist Project Manager with daily management of electrical construction projects. Support project planning, scheduling, and execution activities. Maintain project documentation including contracts, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Track project milestones and assist in monitoring schedule performance. Coordinate communication between field staff, engineers, subcontractors, and clients. Cost Control & Financial Management Assist with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking. Help prepare monthly cost reports and project status updates. Review vendor and subcontractor invoices for accuracy and approval. Support change order pricing, tracking, and documentation. Monitor material and labor costs against project budgets. Procurement & Subcontractor Coordination Assist with material procurement and equipment tracking. Coordinate delivery schedules to align with project timelines. Solicit vendor pricing and prepare purchase orders. Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Technical & Document Control Review electrical drawings and specifications for completeness. Process and track RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings. Ensure compliance with contract documents and project requirements. Maintain organized electronic and physical project files. Field & Safety Support Coordinate with field supervisors and foremen regarding project progress. Participate in project meetings and site walks as required. Support adherence to company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Assist with resolving field issues impacting schedule or productivity. Client & Stakeholder Communication Participate in owner and subcontractor coordination meetings. Provide timely updates to project stakeholders. Help maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication.
