As our Assistant Project Manager, your primary focus will be to support the Sr. Project Manager and Project Manager on critical elements such as schedule, financials, quality, safety, and diversity while coordinating with the project team to help achieve overall project goals. You’ll also help lead Project Engineers and Assistant Project Engineers, supporting strong team performance throughout the life of the project.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of construction, engineering, and related activities, terms, and concepts.
  • Ability to read specifications and project documents to help determine construction requirements and plan procedures using proper building techniques.
  • Strong coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with field labor, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and architects.
  • Working knowledge of cost management, scheduling support, subcontractor administration, and project documentation.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, diversity, equity, inclusion, and continuous professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Client Executive, Sr. Project Manager, and Project Manager in project pursuits, RFP responses, and interviews.
  • Help build strong client and architect/engineer relationships, and assist with the review and negotiation of owner contracts as requested.
  • Support the financial responsibility and operational success of the project by helping manage budget, schedule, safety, diversity, and quality requirements.
  • Assist with operations reporting, scope review meetings, subcontractor coordination, material management, MEP coordination drawings, as-built documentation, manpower tracking, cost management, requisitions, and meeting administration while maintaining strong relationships throughout the project cycle.
  • Coordinate with field labor, subcontractors, vendors, clients, and architects to support project execution.
  • Verify existing conditions, monitor compliance with submittments and trade agreements, support safety documentation, and assist in the execution of quality management and diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.
  • Assist in resolving project issues, escalating major concerns to the Sr. Project Manager, Project Manager, and/or Client Executive as needed.
  • Work as part of an integrated team with project leadership and superintendents, recognizing shared accountability for safety and project success.
  • Commit to teaching, guiding, and enhancing the skills of Project Engineers and Field Engineers assigned to the project, while also pursuing ongoing technical and leadership development for yourself.
