As an Assistant Project Manager on the Portland Glass commercial team, you will be responsible for preparing steps to ensure projects run smoothly. This includes setting up projects in the system, reviewing and updating job costs, releasing to engineering for shop drawings, preparing submittal logs, creating timelines, and preparing projected manpower schedules and schedules of values. You will also assist the Project Manager with purchasing materials, negotiating with vendors, and procuring and scheduling fabrication release packages. Additionally, you will prepare safety sheets, interpret and implement job policies and procedures, and ensure projects are brought in on budget while maintaining good customer relationships.
