About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager provides essential support to the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects. This role can effectively manage and successfully interoperate contract documents with respect to sequence of work, cost and scope, and can coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure alignment with project objectives. Key responsibilities include preparing RFIs, processing submittals, managing change orders, and monitoring the project schedule and budget. The Assistant Project Manager serves as a liaison between the field team and the project management team, and has a supervisory responsibility for Project Engineers & Project Administrators and Interns.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in construction project management or similar roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or Similar Experience
  • Proven commitment to Safety
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Leadership potential and ability to take initiative
  • Ability to analyze problems and implement practical solutions
  • Proficiency in managing RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
  • Intermediate level understanding of project scheduling and cost management
  • Familiarity with contracts and change order processes
  • Advanced proficiency in construction management software and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
