Requirements

  • A construction-related degree/diploma and three+ years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience in a Project Management role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling, project management, and contract software.
  • Ability to support the project team and help overcome problematic situations.
  • Ability to read construction specs and drawings.
  • A self-starter and enjoy working independently.
  • Enjoy liaising with multiple stakeholders including but not limited to project teams, leadership team, external counsel and consultants.
  • A strong work ethic and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and specification analysis to provide clear, trackable, and coordinated interpretations of the design/drawings from pre-construction to completion, including design, coordination, budget, and schedule in conjunction with construction teams, end users, and all stakeholders.
  • Preparation of project deliverables including tracking and creating of RFIs, transmitting and tracking of submittals, composing agreements, and maintaining project expediting lists.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the construction schedule to deliver the project on time and under budget.
  • Administration and management of subcontracts, including subcontractor compliance, tracking of changes, and deliverables.
  • Interact and coordinate the activities of Consultants and Contractors, and provide direction to the consultant team and contractor on behalf of the Owner.
  • Assist in day-to-day oversight and management of contractors working on site.
  • Plan and coordinate all Health & Safety aspects required for project completion.
  • Develop and implement a communication plan for the project, maintain written reports/meeting minutes, and track progress and status of each project.
  • Assist in preparing detailed scopes of work, requests for proposal documents, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Prepare regular, timely, and accurate billings, and ensure timely payment of subcontractor billings.
  • Lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing development and progression.
  • Submit project reports to the Senior Project Manager and communicate with management about project progress and areas of risk that need to be escalated.
