About The Position

PureGrid Electrical is looking for an Assistant Electrical Project Manager who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and driven by flawless execution. This role involves supporting Project Managers in managing complex electrical projects, with a focus on submittals, material tracking, RFIs, and daily field coordination. The Assistant Project Manager will assist in translating project designs into actionable plans, facilitating communication between clients, engineers, and subcontractors, and contributing to a collaborative problem-solving environment that values safety, accuracy, and schedule. This is an opportunity to learn, grow, and take ownership of key project workflows within industrial electrical scopes in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, estimating, or assistant project management within the commercial or industrial electrical subcontracting space.
  • Basic to foundational understanding of electrical systems, power distribution equipment, and the ability to read construction blueprints and single-line diagrams.
  • Hands-on experience with modern construction management tools.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Proactive follow-through.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within electrical project management.
  • Ability to travel periodically to support nationwide job sites during key project phases or site visits.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam Revu is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience in the electrical trade.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day operations of industrial electrical projects, ensuring tasks are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
  • Act as a secondary point of contact for site superintendents and field crews, ensuring they have necessary drawings, submittals, and material deliveries.
  • Log, track, and expedite long-lead electrical equipment, coordinate jobsite material deliveries, and track purchase orders.
  • Help draft purchase orders, process subcontractor billings, assist with monthly pay applications, and compile documentation for change order requests.
  • Manage, log, and track RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and drawing revisions in construction management software from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Participate in project alignment meetings, documenting action items, progress updates, and schedule milestones.
