About The Position

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will facilitate the monthly billing process and serve as a liaison among Accounting, the Market Analyst, and Project Managers. You will analyze project data and provide clear reporting to Project Managers and project teams, including budgets, spent and planned labor, and expenses. You will also assist with resource planning and prepare project revenue projections. Additionally, you will coordinate consultant activities, including setup, contracts, insurance compliance, and expense tracking. You will manage project system setup, maintenance, and closeout, and administer project contracts and support related documentation and compliance requirements. Ensuring project insurance remains current and complies with the requirements of each project contract is also a key responsibility. Finally, you will compile and calculate data to support fee proposal development. Requirements

  • An associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field, with a bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a comparable role, or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of the education requirement
  • Experience with business accounting and project administration functions
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to assess, interpret, and organize complex data
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify financial discrepancies and recommend solutions
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, particularly when conveying complex financial information

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint and Microsoft Project for financial tracking and planning is beneficial
