This is a rare opportunity to grow your career on one of the most consequential public health infrastructure projects in the country. The Wadsworth Center, New York State new Life Sciences Public Health Laboratory, is a $1.7 billion, 663,000 square-foot facility currently under construction. The project consolidates five unconnected sites across the Greater Albany area into a single, modern facility designed to strengthen New York's ability to detect, prevent, and respond to emerging public health threats, and is expected to be completed in 2030. Vanderweil Engineers is proud to be providing MEP engineering services on this transformative project — and we're looking for a driven Assistant Project Manager to join our team. Vanderweil Engineers is a nationally recognized, top-ranked engineering firm specializing in MEP/FP and technology services. For 75 years, we've delivered innovative solutions across diverse sectors—including Science & Technology, Mission Critical, Academic, Healthcare, and Commercial. As one of the largest independently owned engineering firms in the U.S., our team of 500+ professionals operates from nine offices nationwide, bringing deep expertise and a commitment to excellence to every project. As an APM, you'll work alongside our Project Manager and senior engineers to keep Vanderweil's MEP scope running smoothly from the field to the office. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility. You'll be embedded in a high-performing team working on a project that will shape New York's public health infrastructure for generations.
