About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager supports the execution of precast/prestressed concrete projects from award through closeout, helping ensure scope, schedule, and budget goals are met. This role assists with project planning, coordination, financial tracking, and contract compliance while maintaining clear communication with internal teams and external partners. They also support meetings, documentation, and change order processes to help drive successful project delivery. Salary range ($64,000-$84,700). Based on location and experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field with 3+ years of APM or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, jobsite safety, contracts, scheduling, and project management tools
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to clearly convey information
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to analyze data, identify discrepancies, and make sound independent decisions
  • Proficient in MS Office and general computer/software applications (SketchUp a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle

Responsibilities

  • Assist with financial tracking, risk management, and client relations from pre-construction through closeout
  • Support communication between all project stakeholders to ensure alignment with project plans
  • Help ensure contract compliance and timely processing of change orders
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules and tracking progress
  • Support project meetings, coordination, and communication of key updates
  • Assist with project closeout, documentation, and post-project reviews
  • Maintain accurate use of project management software and systems
  • Transition into a full Project Manager role within an expected timeframe
