About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager supports the project manager on commercial and school construction projects, including construction-manager-at-risk (CMAR) K-12 work. The position combines project documentation and coordination with regular time in the field. The role is based in the Raleigh-Durham (Triangle), North Carolina area and involves working in the office as well as in the field.

Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of commercial construction experience.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
• Be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Be organized and detail-driven, and comfortable with Procore-style document control.
• Live within commuting distance of Raleigh-Durham.

Nice To Haves

• CMAR and K-12 project experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, track, and log submittals and RFIs, and keep document control current.
• Help build and update the project schedule.
• Run meeting agendas and minutes.
• Build O&M, spare parts, and testing spreadsheets for closeout.
• Check that subcontractors build to the drawings and specifications.
• Help price change orders.
• Walk punch lists before and after owner and architect inspections.
