About The Position

HITT Contracting is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with Mission Critical and Data Center construction experience to support our team in Wenatchee, Washington. The Assistant Project Manager supports the delivery of complex data center projects from preconstruction through final closeout. Working closely with project managers, superintendents, clients, design teams, and subcontractors, this individual helps ensure projects meet HITT’s safety, quality, schedule, and budget expectations. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, a collaborative approach, and experience coordinating the electrical, mechanical, and critical infrastructure systems that support data center operations.

Requirements

  • Experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or in a similar commercial construction role
  • Prior experience supporting Mission Critical or Data Center construction projects
  • Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project financials
  • Familiarity with complex MEP systems and the coordination required for installation, testing, and commissioning
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment
  • Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work on site in Wenatchee, WA

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered

Responsibilities

  • Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and execution
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and project documentation
  • Assist with subcontractor scope reviews, buyout, contracts, and change orders
  • Track project costs, commitments, pay applications, and budget updates
  • Coordinate with field teams and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain project progress
  • Support coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including power distribution, backup power, cooling, and controls
  • Track long-lead equipment and material deliveries against installation milestones
  • Assist with commissioning readiness, inspections, punch lists, and turnover documentation
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Uphold HITT’s safety and quality standards throughout the project
