About The Position

Overwatch Mission Critical is seeking a driven Assistant Project Manager (Fit-Out) to support large-scale data center construction projects. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow their career in project management while supporting the delivery of complex, mission-critical infrastructure. You will work directly with client teams, General Contractors, and vendors to drive progress, ensure alignment across stakeholders, and maintain quality and safety standards throughout the fit-out process.

Requirements

3-4 years in fit-out construction, engineering, or facilities management preferred.
Data center or MEP exposure is a plus.
Proficient in MS Office Suite; familiarity with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Primavera is an advantage.
Clear, concise, and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Identifying, understanding, and engaging stakeholders to align expectations and keep projects on time.
Able to track multiple tasks, maintain documentation, and meet deadlines.
Maintains a positive, team-oriented attitude and professional demeanor.
Demonstrated curiosity and initiative in expanding technical and project management knowledge.
Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots, is required.
Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.

Responsibilities

Prepare and distribute detailed meeting notes for internal and client meetings.
Maintain accurate daily logs, project trackers, and organized photo documentation.
Support project controls, including cost tracking, change management, and schedule updates.
Respond promptly to client and internal inquiries regarding reports, logs, and documentation.
Fit-Out focused construction coordination, aligning stakeholders and field employees.
Assist in tracking and managing project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
Coordinate OFCI (Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed) equipment deliveries and verify readiness with vendors.
Support submittal and RFI workflows in collaboration with the Project Manager and field teams.
Participate in design and constructability reviews to identify potential issues and solutions.
Conduct or participate in weekly jobsite walks and safety inspections.
Support implementation of client safety programs and verify compliance with site protocols.
Attend third-party and client inspections, documenting and escalating issues when required.
Maintain alignment with quality and safety culture on every project.
Foster professional relationships with the client and General Contractor to ensure open communication.
Track weekly GC schedule updates and proactively flag impacts or risks.
Assist in client site visit coordination, tours, and reporting.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement and Lessons Learned documentation.
