About The Position

The purpose of the FIT Scheduler is to organize and schedule the sampling, inspection, and related services performed by our Field Inspection Technicians. This involves tracking the technician’s availability and keeping their itineraries full of confirmed jobs and start times, scheduling approximately two weeks in advance. This activity requires the FIT Scheduler to keep in mind due dates, emergencies, specified dates, critical retests and quarterly testing. The FIT Scheduler must coordinate and communicate regularly with FITs, customers, supervisors, Sales, Lab, and Safety Department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Formal experience with the FIT Technician Training course
• Industry knowledge (lab, basic data interpretation, individual test knowledge, general industry)
• Must have a strong sense of team commitment, which includes meeting deadlines, punctuality and excellent follow-through and feedback.
• Must display a high level of integrity and initiative.
• Ability to react when needed for emergency scheduling
• Ability to balance SDMyers & customer needs
• Ability to problem solve field issues by offering immediate solutions
• Anticipate situations to be able to respond proactively
• Able to work independently.
• Strong ability to problem solve.
• Strong follow-through skills.
• Good attendance, punctuality and reliability.
• Full understanding of Company culture, vision, mission and purpose.

Responsibilities

• Meets with supervisor for weekly schedule review and as-needed meetings with scheduling group to address scheduling issues and changes.
• Assist with weekly production & forecast activity.
• Assist with backlog report / order return log activity.
• Forward planning and scheduling to efficient, cost-effective routes/schedules.
• Produce the late jobs report - a weekly report that addresses any changes for jobs.
• Utilize our current software to organize available work in the most efficient, productive weeks possible for our technicians.
• Schedule FIT’s accordingly for their non-production weeks & vacation plans.
• Scheduling check in questions / replies – recap of the week’s activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
