About The Position

Premier Exteriors, LLC is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their commercial construction team and support projects across their Southeast territory, from Florida to North Carolina. The role involves supporting the Sr. Project Manager and other commercial team members with the planning, execution, and closeout of commercial exterior envelope projects. Premier Exteriors specializes in exterior envelope subcontracting for general contractors and focuses on delivering unmatched quality and reliable service through principle-based interactions, intentional client relationships, and fiscal responsibility.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of commercial construction experience in a project management, superintendent, estimating, or similar role preferred (subcontractor-side experience a plus)
  • Working knowledge of exterior envelope systems (stucco, EIFS, DEFS, fiber cement siding, air/vapor barrier) and their system install requirements, or the ability to learn them quickly
  • Ability to read plans, specifications, and subcontract documents
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to coordinate crews and supers across multiple jobs without being on site every day

  • Self-directed: able to manage your own daily schedule and priorities across multiple jobs in different markets
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to occasionally travel regionally as required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field preferred; equivalent field experience considered

Responsibilities

  • Attend internal team meetings and GC/owner coordination meetings, on-site or virtual as-needed
  • Communicate with general contractors, owners, and architects consistently and proactively, with clear written follow-up
  • Track schedules and manpower needs, and support the Sr. Project Manager and supers in delivering jobs on schedule
  • Job costing and budget management
  • Labor budgeting and forecasting
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings to ensure proper planning and preparation
  • Solve problems with GCs and field supers
  • Prepare, price, and track change orders, and purchase orders through approval
  • Assist the supers with accounting and monthly billing, including pay applications, schedule of values, and retainage tracking
  • Review contract scope and exclusions and flag risk items to the Project Manager before work is released
  • Prepare and track closeout documents (warranties, O&Ms, punch lists, final lien waivers)
