Reports to the Project Director or assigned project leadership. Provides assistant construction management services on K-12 projects. Assists in providing support of projects, coordination, and direction for construction management activities and reporting. This position will support construction in the field.

Requirements

  • 4-year college degree required. Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, Construction Management or Engineering preferred.
  • DSA experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, documents, drawings and specifications, project controls, and scheduling to ensure relation and compliance to construction/project requirements.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Software (PMS) systems such as Procore, eBuilder, or similar.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Excel and Word.
  • OSHA 10-HR, minimum.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with outdoor green infrastructure projects, playgrounds, track / field would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Provides oversight of construction progress.
  • Provides management of project logistics, organization and reporting.
  • Participates with coordinating and monitoring activities of builders/contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities.
  • Coordinates, directs and monitors activities related to staff and site facilities such as moving classrooms, offices, other school facilities within or between school sites.
  • Participates with providing routine reporting through daily reports & progress photos, Bi-Weekly progress reports, Submittal & RFI Logs, Change Order Logs.
  • Participates with project meetings and provides meeting minutes, documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses, and follow-up on action items of all participants.
  • Ensures contractors, architects, and engineers adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment.
  • Responsible for project closeout activities including punchlists, trainings, securing record drawings, guarantees, warranties, O&Ms, related provisions for DSA closeout and final project delivery to Owner entities.
  • Represents client, Vanir and related parties in public forums and meetings.
  • Consistently follows the organization's safety policy, promoting a positive and collaborative safety culture.
