About The Position

The Assistant Project Manager (Architecture) supports the Project Manager in coordinating and executing projects, ensuring design excellence and effective project delivery. This role bridges the gap between architectural design and project management, helping to oversee all phases of a project, from initial concept through construction administration. The ideal candidate has a background in architecture and is eager to grow into a leadership role in project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in project management support or a related role, preferably in a fast-paced or project-based environment
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with architectural project documentation and construction administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and managing architectural projects, ensuring timelines and budgets are maintained.
  • Work closely with the design team to ensure that project concepts align with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in client meetings, take detailed notes, and follow up on action items to ensure client satisfaction and project alignment.
  • Prepare and review design documentation, such as drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project goals.
  • Assist in the research and application of building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements for project approvals.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, report on the status of ongoing work, and identify any issues that need to be addressed.
  • Help track project budgets and schedules, making recommendations to the Project Manager to keep projects on track.
  • Liaise with contractors, engineers, and other consultants to ensure effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Support quality control processes by reviewing design work and construction details to ensure alignment with project standards.
  • Manage project documentation, contracts, meeting minutes, and correspondence in an organized manner.
