Performs clerical work in a Customer Service Department. Assists project designers in routine field work and answers general customer inquiries. This role involves answering customer inquiries regarding construction status and requirements, coordinating customer construction requests through engineering, construction, and customer billings, and performing customer contact and design work for "simple services" which generally do not require a site visit. The position also involves obtaining information from engineering prints and sketches, entering design data, and inputting construction requests. Additionally, it assists in prioritizing and scheduling, assembling work orders and sketches from field notes, and performing field work such as staking and measuring. The role compiles statistical information, prepares summaries and reports, and processes various documents and forms associated with engineering, accounting, and operating departments. It also maintains records and files pertaining to work orders, information systems, customer billing, and Digger's Hotline, as well as local map copies. The position performs other related duties as assigned.
