Your role Our Assistant Project Managers get the opportunity to work with the best in the industry and to develop their skills on a diverse range of projects that vary in scope and complexity.

Requirements

  • A university degree or diploma in interior design, or architectural technology (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • Self-motivation, initiative and an eagerness to learn and contribute to meeting project deliverables
  • Proficiency in AutoCad, Revit, and Sketch up.
  • Ability to plan furniture and equipment in Revit model, including creation of Revit families and blocks.
  • Maintaining and upgrading company Revit families, CAD blocks and layering standards
  • Previous experience running quality controls and supporting quality assurance processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • A results-oriented approach with the ability to take action and responsibility
  • Exceptional detail orientation, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing tasks to meet tight deadlines and client expectations
  • Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of scheduling, word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) software applications

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity working for, or with, the furniture industry is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside experienced project managers to learn the keys to client relationship building and successful project delivery
  • Develops furniture and equipment test fits, room layouts and/or design concepts using various design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Sketch Up.
  • Provide Revit drawing support to Project Managers as required and funded by projects
  • Ability to create 3D space fit-up modelling based on furniture and equipment list and architectural floor plans
  • Create 3D renderings in Revit and Sketch Up.
  • Assist with various quality management issues especially as the interface with design drawings and equipment list updates
  • Support the integration of Revit and BIM360 to our proprietary equipment planning platform
  • Attend various project meetings, capturing accurate action items and key decisions in meeting minutes
  • Provide a communication path between the Project Manager and other project stakeholders
  • Ensure that project activities are conducted in accordance with Colliers Project Leaders Quality Management System
