About The Position

The Assistant Project Coordinator is a vital, detail-centric part of the Project Management team at Cooper Steel. This in-office role is responsible for partnering with Project Managers to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects by assisting with communication, document control, and company processes through all stages of the project. Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Fluent and comfortable with Microsoft Excel
  • Communication-driven, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and exceptional in time management, able to multitask, maintain organization, and meet deadlines under pressure
  • A self-starter with a drive to give every task the maximum effort

Responsibilities

  • Play a mission-critical role on our team, partnering with our project management teams and providing drawings, job schedule updates, reaffirming that the necessary steps for the job are completed, and communicating consistently with subcontractors
  • Build a baseline understanding of the project management department and its interactions with the on-site team and other internal departments
  • Master and maneuver through various project-related systems, including Sage 300, Quickbase, Raken, and more
