About The Position

This position is with Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island, a nationally recognized organization dedicated to helping children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders. The Westside Residential Program serves females aged 12-21 primarily carrying diagnoses of Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Disruptive Behavior Disorder, Reactive Attachment Disorder and features of Borderline Personality Disorder. Individuals may present with a range of cognitive functioning from mild intellectual disability to above average intelligence. The program operates with a DBT clinical model, emphasizing growth in interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. Clients are encouraged to take an active role in their treatment and collaborate closely with clinicians to set and pursue meaningful goals. As an Assistant Program Manager, you will be passionate about working with and helping youth, provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment, collaborate with the Program Manager/Director to create program vision and a positive working environment, assist with the planning and implementation of programming for individuals, and assist with staffing and other aspects of program management as needed. The role requires a high level of organizational and communication skills.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • High School Diploma with two years of congregate care experience or Bachelor’s degree with one year of congregate care experience required.
  • Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA.

Nice To Haves

  • Degrees in the subject area of psychology, social work, sociology, or related field preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • MAP certified
