About The Position

The Assistant Program Manager position at Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health's Hillside program in Rutland, MA, focuses on working with adolescent girls (ages 12-22) who have complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder. The role involves providing therapeutic interventions in a safe and compassionate environment, collaborating with the Program Manager/Director to shape program vision and foster a positive work environment, and assisting in the planning and implementation of individual programming. This position also involves supporting staffing and other program management duties, requiring strong organizational and communication skills. The program emphasizes identifying and treating safety/risk factors, barrier behaviors, and factors precipitating placement, with the goal of facilitating reintegration into the family or the next appropriate placement. The role is part of an interactive team including nursing, education, therapists, and psychiatrists, and offers the opportunity to influence treatment plans and teach life skills to at-risk youth.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • 1 year experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders required.
  • Must be able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA. MUST be able to attend EVERY day.
  • Must be MAPS certified, or able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or other related field preferred
  • 1 year of relevant supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of programming for individuals.
