About The Position

KBR’s Mission Engineering Division delivers complex technical solutions and expert support to the U.S. Department of War, specializing in modeling and simulation, cyber transformation, air vehicle mission integration, and lifecycle support. The Assistant Program Manager, Operational Integration (Class Desk) partners with engineering teams (including Chief Engineers), operational stakeholders, and program leadership as the primary operational and fleet‑focused liaison. Serving as the Program Manager’s lead coordinator for operational integration, this role ensures operational requirements, constraints, and impacts are fully integrated into technical planning, execution, and decision‑making for CuXS systems —particularly where system performance directly affects safety and mission readiness.

Requirements

  • Active/Current Secret, with eligibility to obtain Top Secret.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Master’s in Engineering or STEM Discipline & 8+ years of experience, OR Bachelor’s in Engineering or STEM Discipline & 12+ years of experience

  • Experience working with operational or fleet organizations.
  • Background supporting safety‑critical or mission‑essential systems.
  • Experience bridging technical and operational communities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary coordination lead across engineering teams, operational stakeholders, and fleet representatives.
  • Act as the Program Manager’s lead integrator for operational considerations across engineering and program execution efforts.
  • Integrate operational requirements and fleet priorities into technical discussions and planning efforts.
  • Advise program leadership on operational impacts of system issues, failures, and proposed changes.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to address fleet‑driven requirements and concerns.
  • Support assessments of system performance, reliability, and operational effectiveness.
  • Drive alignment and communication across technical and operational communities to support informed decision-making.
