Requirements

  • At least ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in an area of engineering expertise is required.
  • Emphasis on systems engineering experience with requirements management, decomposition, and verification.
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with current background investigation is required.

  • Team assignment progression of increasing responsibility involving direct interaction with program/project office & engineering disciplines in application of systems engineering, safety, airworthiness, acquisition, and program management processes.
  • Multiple team leadership roles leading multi-discipline teams.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven sustained performance in a relevant subsystem SE (i.e. APMSE) role.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant Naval Aviation experience in an engineering discipline.
  • APMSE rotational assignments.
  • Active TS//SCI clearance with current background investigation is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Execute APMSE duties in support of the JMEWS ACAT III program.
  • Identify potential problems and coordinate specific engineering competency solutions.
  • Conduct meetings and conferences.
  • Review and comment on technical data generated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development thru Full Rate Production phases.
  • Review engineering change proposals and preliminary specification change notices.
  • Prepare/review contractor data requirements lists when required.
  • Manage AUR integration.
  • Assist the JMEWS IPTL, Missile Systems IPTL, and AUR APMSE with identifying & developing systems engineering and AUR integration requirements.
  • Ensure requirements are addressed throughout program development, integration, and test.
  • Develop and update system interface control documents (ICDs).
  • Manage & coordinate with NAVAIR Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Prime Contractor representatives for technical data, Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) development, review & approval, and the review & approval of Technical Data Package (TDP) deliverables.
  • Provide technical support for Statement of Work (SOW) development.
  • Conduct Engineering Investigations.
  • Provide technical leadership in responding to test and integration deficiencies.
  • Coordinate system safety authorization (WSESRB).
  • Coordinate, inform, and communicate efforts with various competencies, IPT members, contractors, subcontractors, and naval field activities.
