The Assistant Program Manager, Capacity Management Center (CMC) plays a key leadership role in a fast-paced, system-wide Transfer Center supporting adult patient placement across six hospitals, 24/7. This position is at the center of patient flow and capacity operations, helping ensure patients are placed efficiently while maintaining high standards of care. This role leads impactful work in clinical education, patient safety, and quality, including enhancing onboarding and orientation programs, developing annual competencies using a data-driven approach, and driving improvements based on safety event trends. You’ll also lead and develop a team, partnering closely with system leaders to standardize processes and strengthen outcomes across the organization. This is a hybrid position based at BJC Commons, with regular onsite presence, system site visits, and collaboration across multiple Hospital Service Organizations. The schedule is primarily Monday–Friday, with a rotating on-call week every 3–4 weeks to support 24/7 operations. Flexibility is key, including occasional early start times and intentional engagement with both day and night shift teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a nursing leader ready to expand their impact beyond a single unit — gaining system-level exposure, cross-hospital collaboration, and career growth while helping shape the future of capacity management operations.
