We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and values driven individual whose approach to leadership and service aligns with the mission, vision, and values of ICCS. Founded in 1989, Island Crisis Care Society (ICCS) is a non profit organization serving the Nanaimo and Oceanside communities on Vancouver Island. ICCS provides housing, outreach, and crisis stabilization services for individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance use concerns, and other complex barriers. Through a trauma informed and person centred approach, ICCS supports individuals in building stability, wellness, independence, and connection within the community. ICCS Assisted Living programs provide supportive, home like environments for adults who require additional structure and support related to mental health, substance use, recovery, and daily living. Programs focus on stabilization, life skills, wellness, and recovery planning while fostering dignity, safety, and personal growth. Staff work collaboratively with residents and community partners to help individuals move toward greater independence and long term wellbeing. The Assistant Manager supports the Manager with the day-to-day operations across ICCS Assisted Living sites. The role ensures safe service delivery, staff support, site coordination, and adherence to Assisted Living regulations and ICCS policy requirements. This position also acts as a support to frontline staff, assisting with scheduling, supporting incident management, and stepping in for the Manager when required.
