About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursing Program Associate Director to join our dynamic healthcare education team. Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution with coursework in nursing, nursing education, or healthcare administration
  • Minimum of 3 years of nursing program leadership or administrative experience
  • Minimum of 3 years full-time faculty experience in pre-licensure or post-licensure nursing programs
  • At least 1 year of teaching experience in an online or distance learning environment
  • Minimum of 4 years continuous full-time RN direct patient care experience in one or more of the following specialty areas within the last 5 years: geriatrics, medical-surgical nursing, mental health/psychiatric nursing, obstetrics, or pediatrics
  • Current, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license from the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated action-oriented approach with innovative problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptable and flexible in dynamic educational environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Nursing Program Director in planning, developing, managing, and evaluating all aspects of the nursing curriculum and program operations
  • Coordinate clinical education experiences including site selection, faculty assignments, rotation schedules, and clinical matrices
  • Prepare comprehensive data reports and written materials for state regulatory bodies, Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) reports, accreditation self-studies, surveys, and site visits
  • Assess and evaluate clinical agency partnerships to ensure alignment with course objectives and student learning outcomes
  • Manage all Facility Approval Applications and ensure timely approval prior to student clinical placements
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of student theory and clinical evaluations by nursing faculty
  • Maintain comprehensive evaluation records from students, clinical sites, and faculty for continuous quality improvement
  • Support strategic planning initiatives and assessment of instructional programs
  • Lead quality improvement efforts to enhance instructional delivery and student learning experiences
  • Verify faculty compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and best practices for student clinical experiences
  • Review and update student learning materials regularly to reflect current evidence-based nursing practice
  • Ensure student academic records are maintained according to institutional policies and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and secure external funding sources and resources to support nursing program growth
  • Stay current with emerging healthcare technologies, nursing education trends, and safety regulations
  • Provide academic advising and program planning support to prospective and current nursing students
  • Verify students complete all graduation requirements and NCLEX-RN licensing exam prerequisites
  • Teach nursing theory or clinical courses approximately 50% of the time
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support program excellence
