About The Position

Assist the Program Director in managing the clinical, financial, and administrative operations of a day hab. Supervision of staff and contact with persons served, guardians, and other vendors. Ensure proper standards and regulations are adhered to as set forth by the funding sources. Ensure programs meet the quality standards and provide value to persons served and funding sources.

• Three to five years experience in progressively responsible human services functions.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Driving is a requirement for this position using either a Vinfen van or personal vehicle.
• If using a personal vehicle, you must possess and maintain adequate insurance as well as maintain a safe driving record which is subject to annual checks.
• A valid driver's license must be presented at the time of employment.
• Incumbents must be at least 21 years of age, have maintained a valid US driver's license for at least six months, and must be able to pass a driver's screening background check.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb as this is a very physically active position.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds using proper lifting techniques or the use of a two-person lift.
• Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment such as a calculator, copier, and printer.
• Ability to sit, reach, climb stairs, and maneuver through narrow spaces or hallways.
• Ability to assist clients with tasks of daily living.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time as needed.
• Ability to bend, reach, file, sit, stand, and move around the facility.
• Ability to speak, hear, and communicate with clients, staff, and external representatives.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• CPR required within two weeks of hire
• First Aid required within two weeks of hire
• Safety Care required within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services. In some cases, experience may be substituted for academic training.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the activities of the program staff. This includes involvement in the hiring, scheduling, training, and evaluating staff. Conduct regular staff meetings. Ensure staff is trained on all necessary plans, procedures, and practices.
• Direct implementation plans for meeting program goals and objectives.
• Assist in the supervision of direct care program staff and/or Site Managers. Schedule specific trainings, as required. Provide conflict resolution for staff, as necessary. Provide staff with new and updated policies, directives, and program systems.
• Monitor the quality and timely completion of all ISPs. Act as liaison to prospective program participants; arrange and perform intake procedures, conduct initial assessment of their appropriateness for the program.
• Provide on-site consultation to Site Managers on the daily operations and supervision of the site and staff, as needed. Assist Site Managers in completing comprehensive assessment for persons served, as needed
• Responsible for staff orientation, as needed.
• Oversee scheduling of staff, including on-call scheduling.
• Oversee purchasing for program sites and start up sites. Coordinate facilities management duties.
• Ensure program’s compliance with all internal quality and external licensing, certification and accreditation organization standards, regulations as well as program specific policies and procedures.
• Provide supervision and direction to program staff regarding habilitative/rehabilitative strategies, techniques, and interventions. Assist staff in developing and implementing effective strategies for persons served.
• May participate in Vinfen and/or funding agency committees, as requested. Attend other Vinfen and funding agency meetings, as requested.
• Participate in various internal and external meetings regarding intervention plans for persons served.
• Serve as a resource for program staff, family and friends of persons served, neighbors, public officials, and other providers.
• Perform various human resource management duties including paperwork submission, staff development, certification records maintenance, workers’ compensation claims, timesheet submission, and other related functions.
• Review Incident Reports for accuracy and corrective action. Assure corrective action plans are implemented and reported.
• Perform trainings, as needed.
• Provide crisis intervention, as needed.
• Maintain current on human services issues and trends such as techniques and tools available.
• Perform other related duties, as required.
